Revision Work: “How Did We Survive” turned out to be one of my favorite pieces the entire quarter and I would have selected it as my Writer’s Choice but wanted to improve it with a more thorough revision. At this phase of the class I wasn’t comfortable with the text citations and just hadn’t done as much writing so I thought it had the most room for improvement. In the second paragraph I started a thought “I had been at the same employer for 3 years and had a regular group of friends.” but didn’t develop it further for some reason and was able to make an improvement which helped brighten the tone of an otherwise kind of depressing comparative essay.
